Moroccan Capital Market Authority

As a regulatory authority of the capital market, the AMMC was instituted by the Law n°43-12 and has the following mission :

  • Ensure the protection of savings invested in financial assets.
  • Ensure equal treatment of investors, transparency and integrity of the capital market and information to investors.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the capital market and the enforcement of legal and regulatory provisions.
  • Ensure the control of the activities of the different organizations and individuals subject to its control.
  • To ensure compliance with the laws and regulations in force relating to the prevention of money laundering by the individuals and organizations under its control.
  • Contribute to the promotion of financial education for savers.
  • Assist the government in the regulation of the capital market.

Ministry of Economy and Finance

The Ministry of Economy and Finance is the supervisory authority of Bourse de Casablanca, without participating in its management. It intervenes in the enactment of laws relating to the stock market.

Bank Al-Maghrib

Bank Al-Maghrib is the central bank of the Kingdom of Morocco. It was founded in 1959 as the successor to the State Bank of Morocco. Bank Al-Maghrib has a very wide range of activities. In addition to managing foreign exchange, the central bank is responsible for the elaboration and release of the country's monetary statistics, the elaboration of reports, including the annual report submitted to the King, as well as contributing to the strengthening of financial stability at the national level and the safeguarding of the value of the dirham.
